Pilplan® is a low-dose combined oral contraceptive. This safe and effective method to plan a small, manageable family is available as a one and three cycle pack.

Injectaplan

Injectaplan® is a highly effective and reversible injectable method to plan a small manageable family. Each injection prevents pregnancy for three months. Injectaplan® kits contain one 3-month vial of Depo Provera, an auto-disable syringe, an information insert, and an appointment card to remind the client of her next appointment. Injectaplan® must be administered by a trained health provider.

MoonBeads

MoonBeads® is the natural, effective way to plan a family together. MoonBeads® are a color-coded string of beads that represent a woman's menstrual cycle. Each bead represents a day of the cycle and the color helps a woman to determine if she is likely to be fertile that day. MoonBeads® helps couples know when they are and are not likely to become pregnant.

Protector

Protector® condoms offer dual protection against pregnancy and STIs/HIV/AIDS. Each latex sheath is lubricated with SK70, a water soluble lubricant. Sold in flow packs of 3, Protector® is available at dukas, general merchandise shops, bars, lodges, supermarkets, and kiosks in addition to drug shops, clinics, and pharmacies.

"O"® is a black, studded, and contoured latex condom that offers consumers extra pleasure during sexual intercourse, while providing the necessary protection against pregnancy and STI/HIV/AIDS transmission. “O”® is sold in boxes of 3.

Cotramox

Cotramox® is an antimicrobial recommended for the prevention of opportunistic infections in people living with HIV/AIDS. It is approved in Uganda as the drug of choice for prevention and treatment of Pneumocystic Jiroveci Pneumonia (PJP). Cotramox’s® convenient packs contain one month’s treatment (30 tablets).

Clovirex

Clovirex® is UHMG’s brand of acyclovir. Oral acyclovir is approved for the treatment of initial and recurring episodes of herpes simplex virus (HSV-1), genital herpes virus (HSV-2) and varicella-zoster virus (VZV). Topical acyclovir is approved for the treatment of initial episodes of genital herpes and HSV infections in immunocompromised patients. Clovirex® comes in both a cream and dispersible tablet form.

Aquasafe

Restors® is the new WHO recommended low-osmolarity oral rehydration salts (ORS) that helps replace fluids and electrolytes lost during episodes of diarrhoea. New Restors® reduces the volume of loose stools and helps in preventing dehydration due to diarrhea.

Zinkid

Zinkid® is the new recommended treatment for diarrhoea in children under 5 years of age, along with Restors® low osmolarity ORS.

Together, Restors® and Zinkid® reduce the volume and frequency of loose stools and prevent further episodes of diarrhoea in the following 2-3 months in children under five. Zinkid® also improves appetite and growth. Zinkid® 20mg dispersible tablets are pleasant to taste and enhance compliance in children.
